The Pacific Ocean (Apr. 30, 2003) -- An F-14D Tomcat assigned to
"Tomcatters" of Fighter Squadron Thirty One (VF-31) prepares to launch
during the Carrier Air Wing Fourteen (CVW-14) fly off. USS Abraham
Lincoln (CVN 72) and CVW 14 are returning from their 10-month
deployment to the Arabian Gulf in support of Operation Iraqi
Freedom. Operation Iraqi Freedom is the multi-national coalition
effort to liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraq's weapons of mass
destruction, and end the regime of Saddam Hussein. U.S. Navy
