Description:
The 120mm mortar is the standard U.S. Army heavy
mortar. It is used by armor and mechanized infantry
to provide heavy weapon, high angle fire for ground
troop support. The M120 is transported on a M1100
trailer by the M998 HMMWV. The M121 is mounted in a
dedicated M1064 series mortar carrier.

Cannon: A smooth bore with a crew removable
base cap. When fired from mortar carrier a Blast
Attenuator Assembly is mounted on the muzzle
end. Mortar serial number is on tube just above
threads and on the ball of the basecap. The tube
and basecap are a matched set with identical

traversing, and elevating adjustments. Equipped
with buffer mechanism and traversing extension.
