States Military Surface Ships: SSN 769 (USS TOLEDO)

Atlantic Ocean (Mar. 13, 2004) -- The Los Angeles-Class
attack submarine USS Toledo (SSN 769) surfaces to
conduct a small boat transfer using a Rigid Hull
Inflatable Boat (RHIB) launched from the guided missile
destroyer USS Roosevelt (DDG 80). Roosevelt is part of
the USS John F. Kennedy (CV 67) Carrier Strike Group
(CSG) and is currently taking part in a Composite
Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX), which is an
intermediate level training exercise, designed to forge
ships in the Kennedy CSG into a cohesive fighting team.
