Description:
The AS-2805/SRC is an omnidirectional trussed monopole
antenna. The antenna consistsof a box type aluminum mast
with four wire rope trusses from the mast to outriggers at
the base of the antenna. The wire trusses are insulated from
the outriggers by fiberglass rods. The fiber glass base
insulator is an integral part of the mast section. The
AS-2805/ SRC may be used withany transmitting and/or
receiving equipment capable of operating within its
frequency range and RF power handling limitations. It may be
operated in a vertical, tilted or horizontal position as in
an aircraft deck edge installation.
Installation: The antenna may be installed on
the ship's deck or structure by means of an adapter piece
fitted below the spreaders. This piece is fitted with angles
drilled for 5/16 inch mounting bolts. The truss wires must
be stressed to specifications after initial installation.
Considerations: This antenna may be installed
on a base tilting mount where required for aircraft
operations. The antenna may be mounted directly to the
tilting mount using the regular antenna base. |
