Description:
The NT-66095 is a fixed half-wave vertical dipole. The lower
section of the dipole is grounded to the antenna support
housing. The antenna contains a concentric two-step matching
section to provide a match to a 50 ohm transmission line.
This antenna may be used with any transmitting and/or
receiving equipment designed to operate within its frequency
range and RF power handling limitations.
Installation: The location of the NT-66095
antenna onboard ship should be selected to provide maximum
unobstructed coverage within the physical constraints of the
ship's structure. Propagation in this portion of the
spectrum is generally line-of-sight, therefore, an tennas
that are masked by ship's structures produce limited
coverage in azimuth and/or elevation.
Considerations: This antenna is not a broadband
type and as such has maximum operating efficiency at its
resonant frequency. The antenna's efficiency will decrease
proportionally as the operating frequency is moved from
resonance. |
