Description:
Antenna AS-2395/SLM-2 is a physically small horn antenna and
is a unit of the AN/SLM-2A Countermeasures Test Set. Two
antennas are supplied with each test set. The antenna is
used to radiate test signals for checking the receive
portion of the trainable electronic countermeasures
antennas.
Installation: The antenna is supplied with an "L"
bracket with two holes for #10 bolts for mounting to the
ship's structure. An AS-2395/SLM-2 is installed in the
vicinity of each trainable countermeasures antenna. The axis
of the antenna should align with the centerline of the
receive antenna horn when the antenna mount is rotated to an
inboard position.
Considerations: The length of the coaxial cable
between the antenna is not critical; however, it should be
kept as short as practicable to reduce attenuation. |
