- Description:
Superimposed on a Yellow cross cantoned with rays of
Silver forming twelve points, a Gold annulet bearing on
sinister side three heads of wheat and on dexter side
three ears of corn, and surrounding an enameled disk
divided per pairle Argent, Gules and Azure, surmounted
by a Silver head of Abraham Lincoln. The overall
dimension of the device is 1 1/8 inches (2.86cm) in
height.
- Symbolism: N/A
- Background: The
shoulder sleeve insignia was originally authorized for
the 33d Infantry Division Headquarters, Headquarters
Detachment, Division Surgeons Officer,
Headquarters Special Troops and Division Headquarters
Company on 12 May 1930. It was redesignated for the
noncolor bearing units of the 33d Infantry Brigade on 29
Nov 1968. Effective 1 Oct 1997, the insignia was
redesignated for the 33d Support Group.

Sleeve Insignia
- Description: On
a black disc 2 1/4 inches (5.72cm) in diameter a yellow
Greek cross 1 3/4 inches (4.45cm) in height and breadth
with arms 1/2 inch (1.23cm) in width.
- Symbolism: N/A
- Background: The
shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized for the 33d
Infantry Division on 22 Jun 1922. It was redesignated to
the 33rd Infantry Brigade on 1 Jul 1968. Effective 1 Oct
1997 the shoulder sleeve insignia was canceled.
