- Description: A
gold colored metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches
(2.86cm) in height consisting of a disc of irregular
outline divided per pairle Argent, Gules and Azure on
which the crest for the Oregon National Guard is
superimposed: On a wreath a demi-disc Gules charged with
the setting sun or with sixteen light rays behind a
beaver sejant.
- Symbolism: The
setting sun alludes to the Northwest, the station of the
41st Division from which the brigade descended. The
beaver superimposed upon the face of the setting sun
alludes to the State of Oregon.
- Background: The
distinctive unit insignia approved 17 Jul 1967 for the
non color bearing units of the 41st Infantry Brigade was
cancelled 12 Jun 1969. The distinctive unit insignia
approved 15 Mar 1929 for the 41st Infantry Division
Headquarters was redesignated for the non-color bearing
units of the 41st Infantry Brigade.

Sleeve Insignia
- Description: On
a red demi-disc 2 3/4 inches (6.99cm) in diameter with a
1/8 inch (.32 cm) Army Green border a blue base line 1/8
inch (.32cm) in width and the setting sun in yellow. The
demi sun of 12 rays, root circle 3/4 inch (1.91cm)
radius, point circle 1 1/8 inches (2.86cm) radius.
- Symbolism: The
41st Division, the "Sunset Division," was the
predecessor of this brigade. The division was organized
from National Guard units from several western states,
and the design alludes to the sun setting over the
Pacific Ocean.
- Background: The
original shoulder sleeve insignia for the 41st Infantry
Brigade was authorized on 7 Jun 1966 and cancelled on 12
Jun 1969. The shoulder sleeve insignia for the 41st
Division, approved 22 Jun 1922, was redesignated for the
41st Infantry Brigade on 12 Jun 1969.
