Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (Feb. 10, 2006) -- The amphibious dock landing ship USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52) makes a brief visit in Hawaii on her way back from a six-month deployment to her homeport in San Diego. Pearl Harbor and the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MUE) conducted maritime security operations including acting as an afloat staging base for coalition forces and conducted three relief missions ferrying humanitarian aid to Pakistan in the wake of the devastating earthquake that killed more than 80,000 Pakistanis.
